Diet – Cheat – Give up – Repeat

Motivated to lose weight or gain more control of your eating habits, you cut out carbs, sugar, and all your favorite foods. It goes well for a while, until you start to feel deprived, and cravings & hunger increase. Eventually, you give in to temptation and eat the forbidden food. You eat more than feels good because “What the hell. I’ve already messed up anyway”. Feelings of guilt take over, and you beat yourself up for “failing” once again. You promise yourself to do better tomorrow. You just need to be stricter. And so the cycle starts all over again. Sounds familiar?

Dieting like this is a constant battle with food and your body! It leads to yoyo-dieting, disordered eating, lower self esteem, more emotional distress & more emotional eating.
